OUTLOUD Festival

"Woodstock for literate adults" --Mikhail Horowitz

From the very beginning, when a small group of enthusiasts gathered each summer in the ancient barn at Rudolph Farm, the OUTLOUD Festival, now in its 22nd year, has brought together accomplished writers and attentive listeners from all over the country for a weekend of readings, performances, and fun. Guest readers have included
Robert Abel, Jonathan Baumbach, Eric Darton, Patricia Eakins, Inez George Gridley,
Ernest Hebert, Amy Holman, Mikhail Horowitz, Colette Inez, Faye Kicknosway,
Donald Lev, M.L. Liebler, Donald McCaig, Hugh Ogden, Annie Proulx, David Slavitt,
Irini Spanidou, Elaine Terranova, and Paul Violi.

READALOUDS

CRS holds monthly READALOUDS in The Studio in Grahamsville, New York, the home of the OUTLOUD Festival for the past five years. At the READALOUDS, friends and neighbors gather to read to each other from the books they've particularly enjoyed or--if they are writers--to try out works in progress. Lively discussion usually ensues. READALOUDS are held on the first Saturday of each month from 2 PM to 4 PM, and all are welcome to join.


CRS Publications

Books and periodicals that nourish the minds and hearts of readers and entertain them as well. The focus is primarily on poetry. Books are published under the imprint OUTLOUDBOOKS.

The 2004 OUTLOUD Festival was sponsored in part by funds from the 2004 Sullivan Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts, administered in Sullivan County by Delaware Arts Alliance, and by generous public contributions.
