Relaxing. It was wonderful to be there. Loved the mountain air and wildlife scents. The sound of the stream is near-mystical. A glorious month.
"When I visited Hummingbird Hill last summer it felt like an ideal place to enjoy nature and get some serious work done. I loved the "study", and the back stairs to the stream and the shaded seats under the trees nearby--and the cozy seclusion. I wanted more of the delicious feeling of being nestled in the bosom of the Catskills. That's the mobile: in my favorite place, the cleavage of the mountains!"
We spent three glorious summers at the "estate" known as Hummingbird Hill, transported in only 2 1/2 hours to the tranquil surprises of a pristine woodland. A veritable paradise for creative solitude with no distractions but the rushing stream and daily visits from Bambi. On days when I felt more active, the hiking trails were unmatched anywhere. A magical place that had even our most cynical urban visitors oohing and aahing over the wonders of nature.
