If you can find Transgressions: The Iowa Anthology of Innovative Fiction, edited by by Lee Montgomery, Mary Hussmann, David Hamilton, you can read Eakins's story "The Shade Man" in it. The book is out of print.

Eakins's story "Fertility Zone" appears in an anthology and a textbook. The anthology is Vital Lines: Contemporary Fiction about Medicine, edited by Jon Mukand, MD, (St. Martin's Press), and the textbook is Health Care Ethics and Human Values: An Introductory Text with Readings and Case Studies, edited by Bill KWM Fulford, Donna Dickenson, and Thomas H. Murray (Blackwell Publishing, UK, pb 2002). Vital Lines is out of print but is often available through used book sellers. Health Care Ethics is available through the publisher's Web site.
